I am a solo practitioner whose main areas of practice are business formation and business contract review, commercial litigation, estate planning, probate and estate administration, real estate transactions, employment law, collection matters and business exit planning. For 20 years, I have helped small businesses and individuals in the greater Seattle, Washington area, achieve their goals in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible. If you run a small business, find yourself involved in litigation, think you may need a contract review attorney, are seeking a business formation attorney, have an employment law matter, real estate issue, or need an estate plan or probate, please Contact Me to find out how I may assist.
From Litigation to Transaction
When I started out as a lawyer, I was a business litigator. I learned what makes a contract bad, and how, even with the best of intentions, parties can misinterpret their business agreements. Rather than just undo the damage, I decided that I could really help my business clients if I drafted and reviewed their business contracts before they went into effect. Because I am familiar with the common pitfalls and problems of contract law, I help my clients avoid them. This includes all types of business contracts: real estate, employment, vendor agreements, and purchase and sale agreements.
Hands-On Experience
A large number of my Seattle, Tacoma, and Los Angeles based clients own small businesses. They are small enough that they do not need a full time attorney, but they still need attorney services from time to time. I become their general counsel. I am involved in drafting their business and employment contracts and advising them on how to approach different obstacles to their small business. I very much enjoy my practice as a Seattle business attorney.
Because many of my clients are business owners, they dislike being shuffled around. I respect that. When my clients consult a business lawyer, they want the same lawyer every time. That is what they get from my law practice. From incorporation and business formation to winding up, and from legal research to business contract review, I am the one who performs the work. Since I'm there from the very beginning, I know about my client's past and I understand his business. I believe that my clients find this approach valuable.
Finding the right attorney in Seattle to handle your business legal needs can be a challenging task. With so many Seattle attorneys to choose from, locating the best Seattle attorney who offers both economical and effective representation is important in today’s ever changing business climate. If you are seeking a Tacoma or Seattle area attorney and you are comfortable with a solo practitioner as opposed to a larger Seattle law firm, I would welcome a discussion to determine how my skills as a Seattle lawyer could best assist your business.
